Benefit Seminar for Mary Heiny Sensei – October 30, 31, and November 1, 2026
Mary Heiny Sensei has been coming to Brattleboro for over 25 years, gracing us with her vast knowledge and wonderful skill. Now that health issues are preventing her from traveling, we plan to gather and keep the energy going. The seminar proceeds will go to Mary Sensei to help her with her current challenges.
Five outstanding teachers, all dear friends of Mary Sensei, have agreed to co-teach the weekend. We are especially excited to have Chris Jordan Sensei from New York City agree to co-teach. Chris Sensei has spent many decades as a leader of the Bond Street Dojo and remains active on the teaching staff. She has traveled to our seminars with Mary Sensei for many years.

Cost
Full Weekend is $140 or $40/Class
Advanced payment is encouraged to reserve a space.
Some scholarship discounts may be available upon request.
The Dojo will be open for people to stay overnight – please bring bedding. There are shower and laundry facilities.

Regular Practice
Welcome to River Valley Aikido. Our Dojo was established in 1992 in Brattleboro, Vermont. We are dedicated to traditional Aikido training with an emphasis on personal development, both spiritual and physical.
We invite you to visit us and train. Beginners are always welcome and train at their own pace. We are located in a beautifully renovated church not far from Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.
Membership dues are purposefully affordable ($35/month).
We are now training three evenings a week:
Monday 6pm to 7:15pm
Thursday 6pm to 7:15pm
Friday 6pm to 7:15pm
Children's Classes
